"What does Q Stand For?"

One of the great mysteries surrounding Q Management has always been the meaning of the powerful namesake letter. What does it stand for? Is it the beginning letter of a secret word or perhaps it has a hidden zodiacal and numerical meaning? Or maybe it has no meaning what so-ever, a confusing puzzle to confuse us????

To perhaps find an answer to this question, we should probably start at the beginning.

Just a few years old, Q Management had its small beginnings when director Jeffrey Kolsrud and agent Danielle Dubin opened originally in a small back office of 40 Wall Street, in New York's Financial District with a small handful of 8 female models. Soon moving to its permanent offices in SOHO. Jeffrey Kolsrud, a visionary agent and director, developed the concept of Q Management as an management agency of the future. Putting his faith and the success of his new endeavor on a questionable medium known as the internet, Q launched www.qmodels.com in January 1998 with help of Talent Network, Inc. Almost immediately, people began to take notice of Q Management, mainly because it became the first agency to have a fully functional website, (so progressive that no other agency would be able to ever catch their innovative pace) and because of its unique branding of models and agents which quickly swept onto the scene. So.... maybe the Q stands for QUESTIONABLE TECHNOLOGY or maybe QUICKLY ????

qmodels.com

Within a year of being open the quality of talent that Q Management represented grew sharply. Faces like supermodel Magali and Armani campaign guy Peter Devries, became the most sought after in the industry. Within a year of Q New York opening, they opened Q Los Angeles. Now with functional offices on both coasts, the quantity of services that Q could offer multiplied, now the agency could serve the commercial needs of their talent. Helping them make that jump into television and film work to prolong their careers. Now we have two more Q's to add to the list....QUALITY AND QUANTITY.

The Q Management of today, is a well built machine, encompassing more than just model management. They represent a quirky brand of personalities, who are models, actors, celebrities, writers, singers and sports stars, offering them career management for advertising campaigns and endorsements; the Commercial Division proposes them for television and films and the Media Division promotes their work to the international press and via the "Q Interactive" section of qmodels.com. This full service style of talent management has brought Q Management to the highest competitive level in the industry.

Well respected throughout the world, Q has not yet reached its golden age yet. With so many possibilities unearthing themselves daily. The question might not be "what does Q stands for?", instead maybe "what does Q not stand for?"

Still, the question lingers about the mysterious Q....the answer to which Director Jeffrey Kolsrud will never answer. "That's the biggest mystery about us and its one neither I, nor the two other people who know will ever tell", says Kolsrud. " You will just have to keep guessing...."
